      ACCA: What is it?

The ACCA full form is Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, and it is an internationally recognised qualification that opens the door to a world of endless possibilities in the arena of finance, accountancy, and management.

The core principles of accounting, audit, taxation, and financial management are an integral part of the syllabus and get you ready for all that is required in today’s competitive job market. Whether you want to work with global organisations, practise in your own accountancy firm, or hold a position in government finance, ACCA gives you the credibility and skill to get there.

      ACCA Syllabus

      ACCA Syllabus

The ACCA course subjects are comprehensive and encompass a wide range of topics that prepare individuals for an exciting career in finance and accountancy. The syllabus mainly consists of three levels:

Knowledge Level: This will introduce you to the basics of accountancy and financial management.

Competency Level: Develop your technical skills in areas such as taxation, audit, and financial reporting.

Professional Level: Subjects covering strategic business leadership and advanced financial management to ensure you’re equipped for leadership.

      ACCA Course Fees in India

ACCA course fees include a one-time registration charge, an annual subscription fee, a fee for exemptions, an examination charge per subject, and the cost of tuition/coaching classes. These expenses need to be understood so that one can plan for these expenses accordingly.

      ACCA Registration fee

The ACCA registration fee is £89, though it is discounted to £30. If you are a re-registration, the fee is also £89 but is discounted to £30. It is a one-time payment that registers you for the ACCA program, and early registration allows you to plan your studies more effectively and have access to resources.

      ACCA Annual Subscription Fee

An annual subscription of £134 is payable for 2025 to remain an active student and access all the resources of the ACCA. This will need to be paid to prevent suspension from the program, which may include your exam eligibility and progression through the qualification.

      ACCA Exemption Fees

The exemption fees for the accreditations already attained are £84-£86 for Applied Knowledge and £111-£114 for Applied Skills. The fee is almost equivalent to exam fees and it gives value to earlier learning and saves time and effort that would have been spent sitting for those exams.

      ACCA Exam Fees (Per Paper)

ACCA exam course fees vary in level and format: Applied Knowledge exams are £84, Applied Skills exams are £111 per paper and Strategic Professional exams range in cost from £180 to £252. You must budget for these fees as you progress through the qualification stages.

      Total ACCA Fees

The total ACCA cost includes the registration fee, annual subscription, exam fee, and exemption fee. The amount would vary based on the number of exams a candidate has to take. Other expenses like study material and commutation should also be kept in mind for financial planning purposes.

      Estimated Total Cost

The cost estimated to attain the ACCA qualification is in the range of £2,500 – £3,000. This estimate incorporates several charges: these are registration, annual subscription, exam, and exemption fees. There might be other additional costs, so students have to plan carefully.
