No it is absolutely not necessary to have a demat account for the course, but having one is always recommended. Since the course entails a couple of on-field assignments, having a demat account would be a great help to the students.

If you are unable to physically attend your sessions at the institute, you can attend it online. If you are unable to attend it online, then the recording of that particular lecture will be provided to you.
